Food Hygiene Ratings

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) operate a system of rating all food businesses as to their level of hygiene compliance. The rating you will receive is based around a number of scoring criteria, including cleanliness, food handling practices and their confidence of how you manage the business, including making sure that you have the relevant documentation, policies and staff training in place.

The public can access the information on your hygiene rating through the FSA website.

The FSA are keen to make the displaying of your hygiene rating compulsory, and are currently consulting on this.

We can improve your hygiene rating by conducting an audit of your premises and your policies, identifying any non-compliances and assist with implementing new procedures necessary.
